2024 Bourbon County Fair Dedication

This year's fair is dedicated to

Lois Carter

The 2024 Bourbon County Fair & Horse Show is dedicated to the Bourbon County Extension 4-H Agent, Ms. Lois Ann Carter!  Sometimes referred to as our very own “Fair Queen”.
Lois Carter has served Bourbon County and the University of Kentucky Extension service for 34 years.  During those years she has been a crucial part of the Bourbon County Fair Board.  Lois has been faithful to keeping the board focused on what is best for the youth of Bourbon County and the success of the fair.   She has touched many lives while serving on the board.
Planning the Bourbon County Fair is a year-round process.  Lois dedicates many hours throughout the year to this annual event to make sure that it is a fair that the community can enjoy and be proud of.  Lois, not only dedicates her time but also her passion for the success of this annual event.  She will be the first to admit that fair week is a very tiring and somewhat stressful time, but it is also a week that she would not want to miss!
Lois has the support of her family and her work for Bourbon County Fair.  Her two children, Morgan Sadler and Logan Carter, have assisted Mom in her fair work and became leaders in fair programs.  Her three grandchildren, Charleigh and Carter Sadler and Nolan Carter, have the job of attending and bringing a smile to Lolo’s heart during this week and her husband Nick’s support is both physical and emotional.
Lois Carter is a valuable part of Bourbon County Fair and Horse Show.  Lois thank you does not seem to be enough but “Thank you for ALL that you do for Bourbon County Fair.  You are our hero.”
Please come say hello to Lois at the 2024 Bourbon County Fair and stop by the Exhibit Building to sign a thank you note for what she has done for our community and/or your family during this year’s fair.
